GITEX Europe in Berlin: a milestone for the European Tech Scene!
What an unforgettable moment it was to take the stage as the host of the GITEX Europe launch event at the Cambridge Innovation Center in Berlin – an event that positions Europe’s tech ambitions on the global map.
The energy was electric! A massive crowd filled the event space, with policymakers, investors, innovators and executives from various industries coming together to discuss the latest developments and opportunities in the tech world.
A huge thank you to the fantastic GITEX team – Trixie, Claudia, Peter, Andreas, Doaa, Jutta, Katja, Max, Marcel and many more behind the scenes.
GITEX Global in Dubai – since 44 years a highlight for the Tech Community - now coming to Berlin!
As the event host, I had the privilege of guiding the audience through a day filled with insightful discussions and interactive sessions.
What a pleasure it was to see so many brilliant minds in one place!
The agenda featured thought-provoking panel discussions, hands-on game sessions, and the best part: we had some truly special guests who shared their expertise and visions for the future of tech.
Among the key figures we welcomed Senator Franziska Giffey, Berlin’s Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy, and Public Enterprises and Dr. Stefan Franzke, Managing Director of Berlin Partner, both strong supporters of GITEX Europe and the European tech ecosystem.
In the past few weeks, we’ve seen some game-changing developments in the tech world:
DeepSeek is emerging as a powerful new competitor, challenging the industry giants.
The Startgate Program was announced – a $500B investment by tech giants to build AI infrastructure in the US.
Great news for startups in Germany: In Q3, 736 new companies were founded – the highest number since the 2021 boom!
Last September, the german federal government launched the WIN Initiative, aiming to invest €12B in startups by 2030.
These are all promising developments for the European tech scene but despite these exciting advances, European startups still face significant challenges: scaling remains tough, funding is more limited compared to the US, and supply chain costs are higher than in China.
That’s why GITEX Europe is so crucial! It’s a unique platform that allows us to tackle these challenges head-on and find solutions together.
GITEX Europe will bring together over 1,500 enterprises, startups, and SMEs, 800+ investors, and 300 speakers from the most disruptive sectors such as AI, Deeptech, Greentech, Quantum, Cybersecurity, Digital Health, and Life Sciences from 100+ countries!
I couldn’t be more thrilled that GITEX is finally coming to Berlin, and I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for us!
Stay tuned!
